I’m so excited to share with you my quirky porch makeover plans, which like my bathroom makeover, has been a long time coming! I started planning a refresh to the porch back in April (and before. that in my head) Now I’ve finally actually ordered some paint and gorgeous accessories in order to get the job done.

Porch Currently

I first decorated my porch back in 2013/14 when we renovated our house. I was clearly rocking the shabby chic vibe back then, which I’m now well and truly over! This is what it looks like currently.

The only area that will be staying the same are the floor tiles. I struggled for ages to choose colours and patterns I liked that would work with the tiles and also compliment the hallway it leads into. The pattern clash I’ve plumped for is a risk, but I want to push myself with my interior design choices and not play it safe!

Quirky Porch Mood Board

I’ve chosen a palm wallpaper for the walls that I intend to extend onto part of the ceiling. I’ve vowed that with each room I redecorate, to celebrate the ceiling instead of painting it white! The shoe cupboard and coat hook shelf are going a coral shade, and I’m swapping out all of the pictures and accessories for new ones. I’ve also decided to paint the window frames and doors in a peachy blush colour.

This is my mood board for the porch makeover.

Photoshop Illustration Of Makeover Plans

I’ve photoshopped current pictures of the porch to give an illustration of what it will look like when decorated.

I’ll be showing the progress of the porch makeover on my Instagram stories, so make sure you’re following me in order to keep up to date with the refresh! (and you’ll also stay in the loop with lots of other daily home decor goings on and more, that don’t appear on my blog).

I hope my front porch decorating ideas have given you inspiration for your own home and I’d love to know what you think of my quirky porch makeover plans in the comments below!
