Unless you’ve had your head under a rock for the past few years, you’ll know that artificial plants are a big home trend. I love to mix real with artificial. The real ones add life to your space and remove toxins from the air, and the fake ones look great and require no maintenance or care. I’ve found a great selection of realistic and cheap faux plants that will look great in any room.

*Artificial Zebra Grass Plant – eBay £19.95
I love this artificial zebra grass plant. I already have one in my home that I bought previously and display in my DIY copper plant stand.
*Artificial Bonsai Tree – Dunelm £15
I also have this pretty bonsai on my landing from when I gave the hallway a refresh last year.
Trailing Succulent Plant – Next £14
I’ve bought one of these faux string of pearls for when I redecorate my porch. It’s small but cute.
No longer available but I’ve found an alternative string of pearls.

Faux Potted Fig Tree – Cox & Cox £40

This is my favourite of the bunch. A fiddle fig leaf plant is a home decor must, whether it be real or faux. A lot of them can be expensive so this smaller version for a great price is perfect if you’re watching the pennies and is fabulously realistic looking. Unfortunately no longer available, however, I’ve found an alternative *fiddle fig tree for you.
Black Woven Pot And Artificial Plant – New Look £5.99

(Unfortunately no longer available). You can even brighten up a shelf in your home with change from £10. The weaved pot with contrasting gold base also adds interest in addition to the plant itself.

Faux Potted Monstera Plant – Graham & Green £62

Whist this Swiss cheese plant is the most expensive in this post, I think it’s great value for its quality and size. No longer available, however I’ve sourced an alternative cheaper *Monstera for you.

So even on a budget, you can sprinkle your home with some realistic and cheap artificial plants as part of your home decor.
Love these, Cara! I do love me a bit o’ faux green. I have two strings of pearls from Amazon (they arrived with a really nasty whiff of plastic, but they’re fine now), a couple of potted pearl strings from HomeSense and some trailing ivy – two pots from IKEA and some unpotted from the local garden centre. Naturally, I blame Instagram for the explosion of green in my house! Sue x
Thanks Sue, Instagram has a lot to answer for doesn’t it! 😂 x
