If you’ve hung around on the blog for long enough, you’ll probably know that when we first bought our 1930’s house, we carried out major renovation works and ripped the place apart! I’ve just finished a makeover of our kitchen diner, but wanted to show you the original before and after prior to the big reveal.
Never when starting this project did I dream I would be publishing the reveal of my living room during a UK lockdown and worldwide pandemic. I hope that my home decor inspiration can serve as a distraction to you during these testing times.
Our renovation has taken around a month and a half and has transformed our main living area, both aesthetically and practically. So without further ado, let me introduce to you my new living room!
With my living room renovation in full swing, I’ve squeezed in some time for this post so I can fill you in on all the plans I have for this room and give you an aesthetic of the finished look. And that’s the most interesting part right?!
I hope you had a good Valentine’s and Pancake Day! With them now over, I’ve got my next room refresh in mind and am sharing with you the initial renovation of our bathroom as I did with the hallway. This post has been a big learning curve for me photography wise (and photoshop) as our bathroom is quite dark, so even though it’s taken me ages to do because of this, I’ve definitely learned a lot, which is all good 🙂 . I hope you enjoy seeing the before and after pics and where we got our inspiration for the design.
I can’t believe how quickly this year has gone! It will be Christmas before we know it. I have so many ideas for the house and now just need to find the time (and money) to do them. There are a couple of rooms in the house that I want to totally redecorate, but that will have to wait for now. So I’m going to concentrate on just mini-makeovers of the rooms I’m more or less happy with, but before I do this and share on my blog, I want to rewind and show you how they got to where they are now.
